There are several places where the technical details of ipv6 can be found, among which off course wikipedia. But the the only howto like document that I could find to get you started was a great article on linuxquistions.org where three example implementations were described in increasing complexity: http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/IPv6_deployment Very useful to get an impression of a real life ipv6 network and how to do the setup.
