[Sansevierias] S. patens N.E.Br. [1 Attachment]

Hi Herm and other listers,
Getting close to time to put Sansevierias in a warmer place where I live. Recent inspection brought a smile to me face when I saw a flower raceme emerging from S. Patens N.E.Br. J. Chahinian's book, The Splendid Sansevieria", says the flower stalk is "73cm (2 1/2 in long)"; he probably means 2 1/2 feet long. Unfortunately, the book has numerous editing errors such as this.

it is still a bazillion degrees here in southern CA but it may have
rained a half an inch which puts Los Angeles into GRAVE PERIL.
It can be very hard to do your own editing because in your mind,
EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. I do my own, but I let the article rest in a
drawer for a couple of weeks and then it is like proofing somebody else's work
